What are the main challenges faced by the ageing population in Canada? What role has #COVID19 played in these challenges? What are the barriers to #HealthyAging and #MentalHealth in older Canadians? COVID19 has disproportionately affected the older population in Canada, exposing the weaknesses in our current healthcare system

But most importantly, what kind of policies can we implement now to help the ageing population?

Join the Science & Policy Exchange (SPE) team for the first installment in our SPE Public Forum Series, “#HealthyAging in Canada: Lessons and Perspectives from COVID-19”. Through this virtual version of our already known #SPEForum, we will learn and discuss the challenges and ways in which we can contribute to healthy ageing in Canada. This is a perfect opportunity for the public to ask questions and engage with leading experts in research, policy and social perspectives.

The discussions will lead to a report from this forum that will be published outlining the major points between speakers and the public and shared with various stakeholders.

#SPEForum Format: Each speaker will get 10 - 15 minutes, followed by a 15-20 minute discussion period led by the moderator.
Cost: Free!

This public forum will be in English.
