Liz is a PhD candidate in the Department of Biology at McGill University. Her research focuses on developing environmental RNA biomarkers for aquatic biomonitoring, with the goal of detecting early physiological stress in fish before visible ecological impacts occur. Drawing on a background in marine biology, her work spans freshwater and marine systems. Liz is particularly passionate about evidence-based environmental decision-making and translating genomic tools into policy-relevant monitoring frameworks for aquatic conservation.
