Open Survey: Canadian Government Wants Public Opinions on Food Policy

By: Sam Garnett

July 13, 2017

The government has opened a survey open until July 17th, 2017 asking Canadians questions about food policy. They wish to develop a food policy for Canada that will cover everything from the agriculture and production to distribution. You can participate in the survey at the Government of Canada website.

Aside from this survey, In late June some stakeholders in Canada’s food industry attended a summit in Ottawa to discuss the future of food policy. Food policy is certainly an area where scientists and social scientists can and should weigh in. CSPC will feature a panel on this topic at this year’s Canadian Science Policy Conference in Ottawa, alongside our panel about engaging the public in science.
